(THE SUN) - An 11-year-old boy has been arrested more than 50 times, had 17 convictions in two years and is among the 10 most notorious burglars in Croydon, South London.

He was first arrested for stealing a bike in January 2008 -- aged nine, The Sun reported.

A month later he reached the age of criminal responsibility on his 10th birthday.

Since then he has been held for burglary, robbery, theft, breach of bail, assault, driving without consent, handling stolen goods and going equipped to steal.

Police and Crown lawyers took no further action in some of the matters.

The boy, who turns 12 in February 2010, was arrested on Christmas Eve while opening a burglary victim's presents in woods after reports of another raid.
